FICOM is one-stop occupational health for Springfield workers and employers

Whether your employer sent you in for a physical or you are the one deciding where to send your people, FICOM handles the exams, screenings, and paperwork that keep crews working. Nearly everything on this page is walk-in, and most visits take about 20 minutes.

Physicals we perform

DOT and FMCSA physicals A DOT physical is $105 and walk-in, and it is performed by a certified DOT Medical Examiner. Full details are on the DOT Physicals page.
Employment physicals We perform pre-employment and fit-for-duty exams, including ability and performance testing.
Military and service physicals We perform USCG physicals, PHAs for the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines, EMT physicals, and military entrance pulmonary function tests.
Licensing and program physicals Foster parent, barber school, and daycare employee physicals are each $105.
Sports physicals A sports physical is $30 for athletes under 18 and $105 for athletes 18 and over, including college students. Walk-ins are accepted from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and we can see any athlete who has no chronic health conditions. Please call if you are not sure.
Wellness exams We offer annual wellness, well man, and well woman exams, and we can quote package pricing over the phone.

Walk-ins for all physicals are accepted Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Screening and testing

Drug and alcohol testing A rapid 5-panel screen is $65 and a rapid 10-panel is $75. We also perform breath alcohol testing and urine, oral fluid, and hair collections. Full details are on the Drug & Alcohol Testing page.
Tuberculosis (TB) screening We offer TB skin testing for $70 and TB Gold / QuantiFERON blood testing, and both are walk-in.
Pulmonary function testing (spirometry) A pulmonary function test is $100.
Respirator clearance and mask fit testing We complete the clearance exam, the pulmonary function test, and the fit testing in one visit.
Audiograms and vision tests We perform both in the clinic.
Vaccinations and titers We administer vaccinations and draw titers for employment and program requirements.

We are one of the only TB testing sites in the area

We are one of the few clinics in the area offering both TB skin tests and TB blood tests, and both are available walk-in from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Skin tests are not performed on Thursdays because of the timing required to read the result.

Can I bring my child in for a sports physical?

Yes, as long as the child does not have any chronic health conditions. If you are unsure, please call the office. Sports physicals are walk-in from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and all minors under 18 must have a parent with them at the beginning of the visit.

Do you offer TB screening?

Yes. We offer both skin testing and TB Gold / QuantiFERON blood testing on a walk-in basis from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Skin tests are not performed on Thursdays due to the timing required to read the test.
